1. Disruptive behaviour and externalized disorders – concept and understanding

The first half day, September 28, 2021 have been dedicated on the issues related to Post COVID-19, Education and School. The program started with a mesmerising Meet and Greet Session, creating an informal virtual environment to meet each other.
Second half-day, September 29, 14.30 (12.30) CEST: Innovation for Practice. Innovation in Practice. Currently, an innovation force triggered by the Corona crisis, ‘Crisis-driven innovation’, is being given increased importance. Corona is seen as an opportunity for sustainable change in education: What innovations are advancing education policy, administration, research, and especially schools now, and how can such processes succeed?
These and other topics have been discussed and explored in depth in the parallel program on the second half-day of the symposium (in German, English and French). The half-day has begun with the Innovation Atelier (German-language), which preceded the conference. Very different innovations relating to schools and education have been presented in “one-minute pitches” and then discussed in greater depth in Group Channels.
In the second part of this half-day, starting at 3:00 p.m., the parallel program offers nearly 20 German-, English- and French-language topic strands on current issues in education, which you can dial into in Group Channels. In the Research-oriented Roundtable 2 Session, titled Inclusion, Equity and Equality in Education, Dr. Shnaoli Chakraborty Acharya, West Bengal State University, India, presented her research study on Excursion into Student-diversity: Realities and Practices of Inclusive Teaching in West Bengal State University.
She shared the virtual platform with Dr. Donnie Adams and Tan King Lok, University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ioanna Georgiadou, University of Thessaly Volos, Greece and Sonia Clementina Schaefer, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Germany. The session have been chaired by Paula Sophie Günther, University of Teacher Education Zug, Switzerland. A short plenary summary has rounded out this day of events.
The third half day, September 30, 2021have been sequenced on the issues pertaining to Education Leadership around the World: Research and Monitoring of a Profession. The gala event have been accompanied by melodious orchestration during the intervals, which added liveliness to the academic discussions altogether. This Conference has served as a global platform to exchange ideas related to latest research issues in the Education discipline.

Welcomes Batch XIV to Virtual Orientation Programme For Students of Session: 2021-2023

Department of Psychology, West Bengal State University organized a four-day orientation program for the newly admitted students, commonly known as ‘fresher’ (Session 2021-2023) of the Department.
On Day-1 (29.10.21) the program started with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Sanchita Ghosh, Coordinator of the Department of Psychology. The next speaker was Dr. Sreemoyee Tarafder, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, who enlightened the student with her speech on “Stress Proof Your Life”. Finally Mr. Soumen Ghosh, Guest Faculty, Department of Psychology, spoke about the syllabus and exam process on the same day.
Dr. Sushanta Banerjee, Librarian, West Bengal State University began the proceedings on Day 2 (1/11/2021) with his illuminating talk on ‘Information about University Library’, and the facilities to be had thereof. Then Dr. Sanchita Ghosh, coordinator of the department, briefly narrated the history, activity and achievements of the department. She threw important light on the mentoring process of the students too. Ms. Aritrika Lahiri, Guest Faculty, Department of Psychology, concluded the session with her speech titled “Mental Health of Young People”.
On Day-3 (2/11/2021) Ms. Navnita Bose, Guest Faculty, Department of Psychology, delivered her talk on the significant issue of anger management.
Day-4 (3/11/2021) was lit up with a beautiful cultural programme organized by the ‘fresher’s. It helped them to know each other and subsequently develop a healthy communication. The final session of the orientation programme had Dr. Amitava Sengupta, Guest Faculty, West Bengal State University speaking on the topic “Talking “Gender”: taking human rights”. He shared his valuable insights on the inner connection between gender equality and human rights in our society. Mostly conducted through interactive mode, this orientation program presented the students with a brief yet clear outline about the University and the concerned department as well. Also, it made them aware of some of the significant dimensions of the inner self.
