West Bengal State University Celebrates World Heritage Week 19-26 November 2022.

On November 22, The Department of Library & Information Science and Department of History organized a lecture program on History and Heritage of North 24 Parganas to celebrate World Heritage Week. Mr. Balaknath Bhattacharya from INTACH presented the subject in a very lively manner in a packed hall. Everyone present there enjoyed the presentation. Professor Urbi Mukhopadhyay, head department of History began the event with a short but informative introduction. Professor Sutapa Chatterjee Sarkar, Director, IQAC gave the welcome remarks. The event concluded with the impromptu vote of thanks by Sushanta Banerjee.

International Webinar on Recent Trends in Mathematical Theory and Applications

The initiative of West Bengal State University and Lions Club of Calcutta and University librarian Under the supervision of Mr. Sushant Banerjee, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized in the university premises, a water cooler was inaugurated in the library and a tree planting program was organized along with giving winter clothes to some financially poor people in the neighboring areas adjacent to the university, sewing machines to some women. The program was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahua Das, other officials of the University, Lions Club officials and other professors of the University, teaching staff, students and students of Kingston Educational Institute, and people from all walks of life.
