• Worked as a U.G.C. F.I.P. Doctoral Teacher Fellow at The Centre for Studies in Social Sciences Calcutta, under the Supervision of Dr. Pradip Bose, Professor in Sociology and submitted (May 2009) the PhD dissertation (entitled Interrogating the Nature of Construction: Bengali Woman in Retrospect) at the University of Calcutta.
• Worked as a U.G.C. N.E.T. Junior Research Fellow at The Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta attached to I.C.S.S.R (1998-2000).
• Worked as a Guest Lecturer in Sociology at Lady Brabourne College (1997-2000) and Asutosh College (1999-2000) Kolkata.
• Worked as a Field Supervisor in The STD/HIV Intervention Program organized by the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Govt. of India (1998-1999).
