We have come a long way since then and have several accomplishments to our credit both for the Department as well as at the individual level. Some of the highlights of our achievements are:<br \/>\nThe Department of Chemistry is the First Department of West Bengal State University to be nominated for sponsorship by FIST-DST, Ministry of Science &amp; Technology in the year 2012.<br \/>\nSeveral faculty members visited abroad with prestigious fellowships<br \/>\nSeveral faculty members have obtained research grants under the DST Fast Track scheme<br \/>\nActive link\/collaboration with several international laboratories are ongoing<br \/>\nNearly thirty percent of the PG students of the Chemistry Department have qualified in NET\/GATE<br \/>\nThe department offers M.Sc. in Chemistry with three specialisations, viz.
