He graduated in Sanskrit from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira affiliated to the University of Calcutta and completed M.A. in Sanskrit from the University of Calcutta. He was awarded M.Phil. in Sanskrit by the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Belur Math. He was awarded Ph.D. in Sanskrit by West Bengal State University, Barasat, Kolkata.<\/p>\n<p><b>A Gold Medal, \u201cDraupad\u012b Padakam\u201d<\/b> was received from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira (an autonomous college under the University of Calcutta) for standing 1st in first class in the B.A. Hons.(Sanskrit) Examination of the University of Calcutta.<b> A Gold Medal<\/b> was received from the <b>University of Calcutta<\/b> for standing 1st in first class in the M.A.(Sanskrit) Examination of the University of Calcutta.<\/p>\n<p>He possesses experience of teaching in higher education for 19 years. He joined the Department of Sanskrit Studies, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University as a lecturer in 2007. After that he joined the Department of Sanskrit, WBSU as a lecturer (Assistant Professor) in 2009 and was promoted to the post of Associate Professor in 2020. He is associated with Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math, Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, the University of Calcutta and Rabindra Bharati University as a guest faculty in the departments of Sanskrit to conduct post graduate classes. He is also associated with Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, as <b>a resource person<\/b> for the Functional Sanskrit learning course and workshops funded by the H.R.D.Ministry of Education,Government of India.<\/p>\n<p>He is an internal member of UG BOS, PG BOS and BRS Committees in Sanskrit, WBSU. He was formerly associated with the UG &#038; PG Board of Studies in Sanskrit and Ph.D. Committees in Sanskrit of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira as an external member. He was an external member of UG BOS in Sanskrit of Cooch Behar Panchanan Berma University. He is associated with RAC, Sanskrit in Vidyasagar University and Rabindra Bharati University as an external expert.<\/p>\n<p>His research interest includes Veda, Paninian Grammar, literature, Nyaya and other branches of Indian philosophical schools. Seven M.Phil. and four Ph.D. scholars have been awarded the respective degrees under his supervision.<\/p>\n<p>He edited <i>Visheshikasutropaskarah<\/i> with a Bengali translation and Bengali elucidation entitled Prakasha published by Sanskrit Book Depot, Bidhan Sarani, Kolkata in 2013. He edited <i>Nyayasutravrittih<\/i> with Bengali translation and Bengali elucidation entitled Prakasha published by Sanskrit Pustak Bhandar, Bidhan Sarani Kolkata in 2015. He authored a book <i>Bhuti-mriti-Punarbhuti-Vimrishtih,<\/i> published by Sanskrit Book Depot, Bidhan Sarani, Kolkata in 2017. He edited and translated <i>Taittiriya Aranyaka (Vol. \u2013 I) and (Vol. &#8211; II)<\/i> [Under <i>Vedagranthamala (17th Khanda)<\/i>] published by Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
