Report on RTI Cell under West Bengal State University<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

The University is a Public Authority within the meaning of Right to Information Act, 2005 and it has been discharging all the duties and responsibilities as required under the Right to Information Act. The RTI Cell started functioning from June, 2012 with the appointment of State Public Information Officer.SPIO directly reports to The State Information Commissioner regarding compliance of directions\/recommendations of the Commission. The RTI Cell currently composes of One Officer, One Group-C and One Group-D staff. RTI is segregated into RTI-STUDENTS and RTI-OTHERS for smooth functioning of the RTI Cell.
