National Consumer Day was observed in a befitting manner at the West Bengal State University in collaboration with the Department of Consumer Affairs & F.B.P. GoWB.. a Scotch Awardee Department. Professor Mahua Das Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Atanu Gayen Hon’ble Assistant Director DCA & FBP and Prof. Dr. Pranam Dhar HOD Department of Commerce West Bengal State University were present at the event.
The 74th Republic Day observed at West Bengal State University in a befitting manner. Started with Unfurling of National Flag by Professor Mahua Das Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor West Bengal State University followed by a Guard of Honour by Programme Coordinator NSS, WBSU and Security staff. Necessary educational materials and kits were distributed amongst the local school children. Today is also a auspicious day of Saraswari Puja and Vasant Panchami, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and others offered Pushpanjali to Devi Saraswati and the program ended with National Anthem. The presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University Engineer, Programme Coordinator-NSS, teachers, students, employees, security personnel, local children and research scholars made the program a grand success.
গত ১৯ তারিখে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বাংলা বিভাগ আয়োজিত বিশেষ বক্তৃতামালা -৬ অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তা হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন খ্যাতনামা কবি ও সাহিত্যিক জয় গোস্বামী।কবির স্বকণ্ঠে স্বরচিত কবিতা পাঠের মূর্ছনা সমগ্র কক্ষে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল ।পাঠের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে কবি বলে চলেছিলেন প্রতিটি কবিতার সৃষ্টির রহস্য। বাস্তব জীবনের অভিজ্ঞতা আর আর্থ-সামাজিক-রাজনৈতিক নানা পরিপ্রেক্ষিত তাঁর কবিতা লেখার পিছনে ক্রিয়াশীল।বাস্তব কল্পনার অপূর্ব মিশেলে সৃষ্ট কবির কাব্যভুবন।প্রেমিক কবির বেশিরভাগ কবিতা বা আখ্যানের কেন্দ্রে আছে নারী।তাদের কথাও শোনালেন তিনি।কবির উপস্থাপনা উপস্থিত সকলকে মুগ্ধ করে রেখেছিল।বাংলা বিভাগের অধ্যাপকদের ও ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উৎসাহ ছিল চোখে পড়ার মতো।অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য ড. মহুয়া দাস মহাশয়া।অনুষ্ঠানের সঞ্চালক ছিলেন বাংলা বিভাগের গবেষক নজরুল ইসলাম। সমগ্র অনুষ্ঠানটির গ্রন্থনা ও কবির সঙ্গে আলাপচারিতায় ছিলেন বাংলা বিভাগের প্রধান ড.সোমা ভদ্র রায়।
SEBI and NSE-sponsored Regional Seminar on ‘Investors’ Awareness’ on 24.01.2023. organised by the Centre for Skill Development and Business Studies, WBSU, inaugurated by Professor Mahua Das Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor West Bengal State University where Ms. Barnali Mukherjee CGM SEBI, Sri Debankur Majumdar AVP NSE and Sri Subhasish Sengupta AM NSDL acted as invited Resource Person. Professor Pranam Dhar delivered the Thematic Address. Professor Siddhartha Sankar Saha HoD Commerce University of Calcutta spoke on IPO Market in India online. Amongst the other dignitaries, Dr. Shubhra Biswas FO WBSU, Sri Saikat Ranjan Ghosh University Engineer, Dr. Sushanta Banerjee University Librarian, Sri Ashoke Mukherjee from CoE Department WBSU and Dr. J.N. Sengupta Director Gurukul Edutech and collaborator of the program were present.
