About the Department:Department of Electronics started to function from the inception of the University in 2008. From the inception, the main objective of the department remains to create employable human resource in Electronics Science. At present, the department offers M.Sc. in Electronics and PhD in Science programs. The department is driving for excellence in teaching and research.
Laboratory: Excellent laboratory facilities are provided to PG students and special attention is paid so that student can get hands-on experience in the practical areas. The department provides sufficient number of trainer kits, measuring instruments and spare parts for conducting laboratory courses in various areas such as: Analog Circuits and Systems, Solar Cell Characterization, Band-gap measurement, Barrier potential measurement of PN Junction, Junction capacitance measurement, DSP (from TI), Electronic Analog and Digital Communication, Fiber-optic Analog and Digital Communication, Microprocessor, Microcontroller, DAC’s for Microprocessor and Microcontroller, Microcontroller Burning system, Sensors and Transducer etc.Computing Facility Department is well equipped with sufficient number of computers. All the computers are connected through a dedicated broadband Wireless Network Connection (WNC) for availing internet. The computers are provided to students while teaching Programming Language and embedded systems.
Research: The department is engaged with thrust areas of research, both in experimental and theoretical research in Electronics. The outcomes of the research and development activities are published in International/National journals and conferences of repute. Many research papers are published in high quality International Journals having good impact factor. The department is driving for the further betterment in research and development activities, especially in experimental areas.
The main research areas are: Quantum computing, Nanodevices, Image processing, Instrumentation, Reversible Circuits, Genetic Algorithms for Electronics.
Seminar and Conferences: The department conducts and organises seminars by external experts (from various Universities/Institutes), internal experts as well by PG students and Research Scholars. The faculty members are also delivered invited lectures.
Job/NET/GATE/SET/RET/Higher-Education: (i) A substantial number of pass out students are in job at TCS, IBM, Capgemini, Progathi Solutions, HSBC, Prosar Bharati, Indian Railway etc. (ii) Many students qualified NET, GATE, SSC, ISRO-JRF etc. (iii) Some of the students are pursuing PhD at various Universities/Institutes like, Cincinnati University (Ohio, USA), IIT-Bombay, Jadavpur University etc.

Achievements:
